More Buses Than Ever

When I first started driving the number 12 we drove single deckers that carried 50 passengers and we ran every 12 minutes during the day. That reduced to every 10 minutes and then the single deckers went and we drove double deckers that carried 90 people. As from to day we now run every 7 1/2 minutes between Newton and Brixham. So in 7 years we have gone from a carrying capacity of 250 passengers per hour to 720 per hour in each direction
More people are using the bus, why not join them?

I am glad you have more buses, now lets have a few more decent bus drivers. A few days ago I travelled on a 12 from Paignton to Torquay in 11 mins. 50 mph at least past Livermead. That wasnt so bad, then we stopped for a couple of old ladies at the stop just before the Grand. As soon as they had paid the accelerator went to the floor, the old ladies would have gone out the back window but for the fact that the traffic lights were on red even as we pulled away. Having reached 35 mph our boy racer then hit the brakes for a full emergancy stop. On the bit from Mojo to Cary Parade, lots of slow traffic but our boy racer had only two ideas, either press the accelerator to the floor or press the brake to the floor. If more buses mean more crap drivers like this one then God Help Us.
