Belgrave Rd Traffic Lights

Seven days ago I took an X46 up to Kenford to get some Photos of the snow. On the way I noticed the traffic lights at the bottom of Belgrave Rd weren't working. Today I was on the sea front taking some photos of the mist and I noticed the traffic lights still aren't working.

Mind you, the traffic seems to be flowing much quicker now than back in the good old days when the lights did shine.

I consider it a christmas present from the council. The lights there are badly timed and ALWAYS hold you for an unecessary length of time.

Keeping them off would be most welcome - however, I don't think this newly free-flowing traffic will last come the summer months with our elderly and foreign visitors. Some of them are confused by that junction even with functioning lights...

The lights worked for a while but were soon out. As Cabbie J pointed out traffic seems to get through much quicker, seems a shame they are now back working.

In putting in a traffic light, it takes a lot of planning and money to complete it. A traffic light cost around $40,000 to $125,000 and sometimes more depending on the location. If a business goes in and a traffic light needs to go in, the business or businesses will have to pay some money to pay for it to make sure everyone is safe going from and to that business.
