An old Open Top bus.

Seen going round the Clock Tower in Torquay, this Open Top bus is in the livery of Devon General who were here before Stagecoach and Bayline.

It is used for weddings and other fun trips.

Shame the weather had been so bad.

Lovely to see this bus on the road. I saw it earlier this year at the Devon General rally at Oldway and it has been beautifully restored.

I remember them being introduced in the 1950s in my childhood and they ran between Babbacombe and the viaduct at Broadsands for some peculiar reason. These buses which I think go back to 1934, started life as closed tops and were replaced with the Sea-Dog Atlanteans.

Thanks for a really interesting blog each day or so.
