Belgrave Rd Bus Stop Stinks.

Two weeks ago we had strong easterly winds for three days. The Bay faces east and as you can see seaweed gets blown on to the seafront. It is several inches deep and has been rotting slowly. The beach looks even worse. When you stop a bus at the Belgrave Road stop the whole bus smells. If this is Mayor Nick Bye's vision for the future of Torbay then I don't think, and more to the point, neither will the visitors think favorably at his ideas. Come on Torbay Council, shift this muck. Please.

It really is disgusting...shouldn't be too bad in the future, in theory...with the sewage dump closed, there is nothing to fertilize the seaweed other than what's in the water naturally.

Shades of Worthing, where this used to be blown up on the beaches by the first spring storm every year...the smell, (euphemistically, oh that ozone!), the flies, that unique passage to the sea....

Used to be bloody good for the tomatoes though!

Tomatoe growers of Torbay please come and collect. All you can carry, but not on the bus thank you.

Tuesday morning and the council were there clearing it away. Someone in Town Hall reads my blog.

OK about you reducing your blogs down to one a week. I know how you feel Dave. Sometimes it's hard to do regular articles and keep them fresh. Don't stop altogether though huh? - Dave
