How wierd, when I got back to the depot we had a single decker with the second window smashed on the same side and a huge gash down 70% of the body pannels.

Turns out it was a foreign lorry driver who didn't know to give way to traffic on the round-about.

That van is surprisingly well parked! Well, compared to what I see nearly every day...

It wasn't the van driver's fault.

Erm, yes it was, don't you rember you can park in bus stops - even if two wheels are on the road. At least that's how I remember the high way code, David can you tell us please??

Apparently the van has dispensation to wait on the bus stop while the driver is loading and unloading at the Palm Amusment Arcade which is next to the bus stop. There is no where else for him to park. He should not have had his near side wheels on the pavement though. He was probably just trying to be helpful.
The normal rule where a bus stop is marked out in yellow lines and has the words 'Bus Stop' printed is NO PARKING. Not even for buses; we can only load and unload and wait time on a bus stop.
