And on the other side of the road there is a pavement 10 metres wide and a long way away from fast moving traffic and you don't need to step into the road every time you come to a lamp post or traffic sign. So where would you walk if you were out for a Sunday afternoon stroll?
While I'm on about this stretch of road, Torbay council, could you get rid of all those tempory traffic signs. They blow over in the wind, get hit by cars and vans and people just push them over for the fun of it. I mean the road is going to be like this until some time next year, not some time next week.

Due to the rules and regulations of road signage (I really want to see that book)..there HAS to be temporary road signs to inform drivers of the new road layout.
Although- how expensive can it be to purchase new signs and strap them to the lampposts (they could even pinch them from Abbey Road).
I guarantee the bloke in that picture walked past the temporary sign without looking, most probably with a bus coming on the other side of the road.
Just stupid
Nice new look
They should do something about the filter lane, entrance to Mojo's and the like, as cars seem to think its the way they have to go to get to the harbour. As soon as one goes that way they all follow like sheep and pop out of the other end straight into the flow of traffic without looking. I walked along the front last night and in the space of a few minutes there was nearly 3 accidents.
I agree, the signs at this end of the tempory road are not really up to the job. It's OK for those who know where they are going but we have lots of people who don't know where they are going and as the year progresses that number will rise. Come Torbay council. Lets have a bit more effort put into the signs. Even Nick Bye admitted the diversion sign posting was poor during the closure, can we see some improvemnet now please?
